As a tourist in Munich I haven’t found many free wifi spots in the last two days. The going rate seems to be about 5 Euros for 30 minutes.
GPS access is an issue if you are without a connection. This is because the relevant map area has to be downloaded from Google.
By the way, If you are in Munich you should check out the BMW World and Museum attractions.
